Other Fractal Programs

The following is information on various fractal programs, with links, and statistics. This list is by no means complete, for I neither have enough time (mainly due to my job for earning money, secondly for spending the earned money...) nor do I have complete up-to-date information about old/new programs.

This page gets automatically reconstructed at least once a week. It lists fractal programs and versions within the database, along with statistical colorized bar codes:

The first colored bar informs one about the days between the last release of the program and the current date. The longer the bar, the more up-to-date the program. This indicates whether the author still continues to enhance the program, or whether the author just wrote a utility and then forgot about it.
The second colored bar informs one about the days between the last modification made to the homepage and current date. The longer the bar, the more up-to-date the homepage, indicating how often the web page is modified (and hopefully the information therein).

By studying the table, it is easy to see old programs whose homepage never got updated, or rarely. Most likely the author has forgotten that he/she has written a fractal generator...

If you click on the name of a fractal program, you get a new page which shortly describes the program, hopefully showing the main advantage and disadvantage of each (Pros and Cons).

If something important is missing you can also add your own comment to that page.

It is difficult to describe other people's programs, especially for me (as the author of my own fractal generator) I can only *try* to describe these programs, to mention their main features, advantages and disadvantages. If you feel that the description is incorrect, please contact me with whatever concerns or corrections.
